IWR6843AOPEVM: Tx and Rx data

Hello

I am using IWR6843AOPEVM along with DCA1000 to capture the raw data. According to TI documentation, the raw data is the IF signal after cross-correlating the Tx and Rx. I was wondering if is there any way to capture and extract the Tx and Rx data of the 6843 before the cross-correlation.

Yes, at the receiver side, the received signal is mixed with the transmit signal to get the IF signal. The RX signal before mixer is at 60GHz. Is that what you want to probe and monitor?

Hi Zigang

Let me be more specific. My Tx chirp range is 60.58 - 63.06 GHz, bandwidth of 2.48 GHz. So I would like to probe and monitor the TX and the received signal by the IWR6843AOPEVM antenna. Is there a way to save them as well?

Hi, there:

Unfortunately, there is no access point to the signal before mixer. You can find the block diagram (figure 4-1) and pin definition at datasheet page https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/awr6843.pdf?ts=1691785756168&ref_url=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.ti.com%252Fproduct%252FAWR6843. And you will see what is available.

DCA1000 can only capture ADC output data. Let me know the reason behind your question and we will see what we can help there.
