IWRL6432: IWRL6432

Part Number: IWRL6432

hi Teams:

Currently evaluating a model of TI, please provide technical support. Thank you!

1. TI's 60GHz RF chip, IWRL6432

2. If used for household appliances or commercial products, what are the requirements for spectrum compliance in different countries and are there any risks?

3. This chip is an industrial grade product and a new product. Have there been actual batch applications and cases?

4. The sensing distance is more than 3 meters, and the left and right angle range is ± 60 degrees. The higher the accuracy, the better. Please provide the indicators that IWRL6432 can achieve, and we will conduct a comprehensive evaluation

5. Can TI provide a complete set of software and hardware reference designs?

  • Hello.

Apologies for my delay in response.

    2. If used for household appliances or commercial products, what are the requirements for spectrum compliance in different countries and are there any risks?

If you mean health risks of any kind, this kind of radar does not emit with the power/strength of radiation to pose any health risks.  For the spectrum compliance, you would have to research that on your own as each country may have its own specification.  The most common ones are FCC(US) and RED(Europe), but other countries may follow their own standards.

    3. This chip is an industrial grade product and a new product. Have there been actual batch applications and cases?

For example projects, feel free to explorer the Radar Toolbox on TI Resource Explorer, which can be found in the TI developer zone.  I have linked it here.

    4. The sensing distance is more than 3 meters, and the left and right angle range is ± 60 degrees. The higher the accuracy, the better. Please provide the indicators that IWRL6432 can achieve, and we will conduct a comprehensive evaluation

The sensing distance can vary.  Please refer to the sensing estimator, where you can tune parameters and create a configuration to meet your specification.  I have linked it here.

    5. Can TI provide a complete set of software and hardware reference designs?

Software examples can be found in the example projects folder of the Radar Toolbox linked in response to question 3.  Hardware reference designs are not available yet.

    Sincerely,

    Santosh
