AWR1843AOP: Compatibility Inquiry for Different 16Mbit QSPI Flash on AWR1843AOP

Part Number: AWR1843AOP

Greetings TI community,

I hope this message finds you well. I am currently working with the AWR1843AOP radar board, which is equipped with a QSPI flash memory, specifically the MX25V1635FZNQ model, with a capacity of 16Mbits. In the context of my project requirements, I'm exploring the possibility of using a different 16Mbit QSPI flash memory on the same board.

My primary concern is ensuring the compatibility of a different QSPI flash memory with the AWR1843AOP . Could you kindly provide insights or guidelines on how to determine whether an alternative 16Mbit QSPI flash memory would be compatible with the board? What technical specifications or characteristics should I be looking for in the datasheet of the new flash memory to assess its compatibility with the existing hardware and firmware on the radar board?

Additionally, are there any specific procedures, considerations, or precautions I should be aware of when attempting to replace the default MX25V1635FZNQ flash with an alternative flash model? I want to ensure a seamless integration without compromising the performance or functionality of the radar board.

Any advice, recommendations, or experiences you can share regarding this compatibility assessment process would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time and expertise.

Best regards,

Miladh
