AWR2944: Safety mechanism and Diagnostics coverage in FMEDA

Hi,

I am doing hardware metrics analysis of AWR2944 based circuit. I got FMEDA excel sheet from TI with FIT, Safety mechanism and diagnostic coverage data.

I have couple of doubts from fmeda and I am listing those concerns with sheet name below.

  1. Pin Level Tailoring sheet- In this sheet safety mechanism like Sys_Clk_DCC,Sys_BallBreak etc are mentioned against AWR2944 ball names. But for those safety mechanism diagnostics coverage assigned are same.99% for all the 9 Safety mechanism. One more point to add that safety mechanism mentioned in Pin level tailoring sheet is not available in any other sheet and no Latent coverage mentioned in this doc against those SMs.
  2. Function and Diag Tailoring sheet- Is there any relation between Diagnostic coverage sheet and function and Diag Tailoring sheet? Is the diagnostics coverages from this sheet relevant for  Pin level failures in hardware metrics?
  3. Diagnostics coverage sheet- Can we take diagnostic coverage and latent coverage value from this sheet for any safety mechanisms that we are using?
