Hello,

My customer has some questions about the HDC3020 as follows. Please respond.
Q1: Is HDC3020 software compatible with competitors (Sensirion sensors) somehow ?
Q2: Are there any characteristics advantages in each parameter?
Q3: It is said that there are many successful applications in building automation/medical/medical applications, but please tell us the specific usage method as much as possible for each app respectively.

    Hello,

    I can answer questions 1 and 2 here, and I will answer question 3 over email. I cant share that answer on the public forum.

    1) Yes the HDC302x software is compatible with the Sensirion SHT35 specifically. The HDC3020 uses the same command structure of I2C as the SHT35, uses the same CRC polynomial, and has an almost identical register map. The SHT35 has commands that enable clock stretching that the HDC3020 does not support. But other than that the HDC3020 is drop in compatible with the SHT35.

    2) There are several parameters where HDC3020 has superior performance over SHT35. HDC3020 has a faster response time, lower repeatabillty (so lower noise), and has a much lower consumption current during conversions.
