AWR2243: Possibility to check LO lock through testing ?

Part Number: AWR2243

Dear TI team,

We're testing our own radar design made of 4 AWR2243P in cascade mode.

We set up the following: the 20 GHz is sent to a 1:4 splitter, and looped back on the master AWR and one slave AWR (using matched loads at the two other ouputs instead of reaching the two other AWR chips).

We observe that the AWR2243 chips do NOT deliver temperature data or CSI2 data. Therefore, we want to check that the chips are locked on the looped-back 20 GHz.

Is there a way to check if the master chip and the slave chip are locked on the looped-back 20 GHz:

  - using the API ?

  - without using the API ?

Thanks

Charles
