TI P2P solution of encoder to replace Allegro AAS33001

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMAG6180, TMAG5170, TMAG5273

Hi sir,

Pls kindly help to suggest if TI has related encoder solution to replace Allegro AAS33001.

Thanks a lot!

  • Sean,

We do not have a sensor which is pin to pin with this.  However, we do have multiple sensor which work well for angle measurements.

TMAG6180 is an AMR sensor with differential sine and cosine outputs and automatic gain control to maintain a fixed output amplitude.  An integrated Hall-effect latch provides functionality for full 360 degree rotation.

TMAG6181 is similar, but the latch outputs are converted to a turns count.  It also features a low power mode which enables the device to track relative angle change while minimizing current consumption.

TMAG5170 is a 3D Hall-effect sensor which enables angle measurements with a built in CORDIC to perform angle calculations for the MCU, and offers sensitivity gain and offset correction to help linearize angle measurements.  This device communicates via SPI

TMAG5273 and TMAG5173 are very similar to the TMAG5170, but communicate over I2C.

    Thanks,

    Scott
