MMWCAS-DSP-EVM: Abnormality of TDA Capture Card

Part Number: MMWCAS-DSP-EVM

Hello, our MMWCAS device has encountered the following error:

We can access the SSD through WinSCP, but cannot control the board through mmWave Studio.

The error occurred suddenly during normal use and has not occurred before.

We combined different MMWCAS-RF-EVMs, MMWCAS-DSP-EVMs, and ethernet cables for testing, and confirmed that the error came from MMWCAS-DSP-EVM with serial number 6795900072.

We need technical help for this abnormality and look forward to your reply.

  • Hello,

Based on your post, it seems like this board was working before but suddenly stopped, is that correct? Can you confirm that the board was being used in an ESD safe environment? Can you also please check which LEDs are on when the board is powered up?

    Regards,

    Adrian

  • Hi Aozer, thanks for your reply.

    1. " it seems like this board was working before but suddenly stopped, is that correct?"

    Yes.

    2. "Can you confirm that the board was being used in an ESD safe environment?"

I'm sorry that I don't know what the ESD safe environment is. I have just conducted a test on my laptop.

The writing of the Chirp configuration was successful:

The error occurred when executing the data collection commands

It seems that TDA is unable to receive or reply to messages.

    3. “Can you also please check which LEDs are on when the board is powered up?”

    Please see the following pictures.

    Looking forward to your reply.

  • Hello, we need further technical support, thanks

  • Hello,

I am sorry for the late reply. As a test, can you try to follow the steps to reflash the FPGA? You can find the steps in the below directory after installing the TDAX SDK.
