AWR2944EVM: AWR2944EVM Current Sensors

Hi TI,

I see some current sensors on AWR2944EVM board. What is the cause of using them ? Does ADAS or Body Control Unit require to receive hardware safety data from radar ? I've left an image below about current sensors.

Each current sensor is for the different voltage rail.

Hi Shareef,

I have known how they works. I have aimed to say that i just wonder that what is the reason to use them. For example, To provide safety requirements or to have failure detection ability that can be occur on radar sensor. As a long story short, what is the cause of using those current sensors on board ?

The INA226 is a current shunt and power monitor over i2c interface. It senses current/power on common-mode bus voltages. Four ofi them are used for each Voltage rail and their corresponding current/power.
