AWRL1432BOOST: Antena line and location

Part Number: AWRL1432BOOST

Team,

My customer who has a plan to employ 77-Low for KTO solution has some questions about our reference design (1432/6432BOOST).

1) Wants to know reason the Tx Antenna location of 1432BOOST is different from 6432BOOST( seems to be far from Rx’s).

2) Both Tx and Rx ANTs seemed to be Isochronous wiring/lining. The wiggly line look like to be longer than the straight line, but is it the same length?

3) Are all the StackUp information (interlayer information), substrate, interlayer distance, copper foil thickness, etc. for the AWRLx432BOOST stored in the design file (https://www.ti.com/tool/AWRL1432BOOST#design-files)?

Could I have your comments on those?
Thank you for your support.

Regards,
Nonaka

  • Hi Nonaka,

    My comments are inline:

    1) Wants to know reason the Tx Antenna location of 1432BOOST is different from 6432BOOST( seems to be far from Rx’s).
    >> On 1432 the intention was to keep the antenna away from the XTAL and to reduce the ripple in the FOV of the antenna.

    2) Both Tx and Rx ANTs seemed to be Isochronous wiring/lining. The wiggly line look like to be longer than the straight line, but is it the same length?
    >> Yes they are equal in length.

    3) Are all the StackUp information (interlayer information), substrate, interlayer distance, copper foil thickness, etc. for the AWRLx432BOOST stored in the design file (https://www.ti.com/tool/AWRL1432BOOST#design-files)?
    >> Yes
