AWR1843: CRC exclusive check between MSS and DSS

Hi Experts

There are two CRC channels in AWR1843, and there are some exclusive check mechanism in driver like ptrCRCDriver->inUse and ptrCRCDriver->inUseTransactionId, but these SW exclusive check mechanism are in one single core.

1. What if MSS and DSS are both trying to access same CRC channel, is there any conflicts?

2. Is there any HW mechanism in CRC engine to avoid these access conflicts ?

Can you please specify which version of SDK/SW you are referring to?

Meanwhile let us check from the HW point of view.

It is SDK 3.5.0.4. Customer want to make sure if there are any conflicts between cores when CRC engine is accessed.

Hi,

Yes, the CRC engine should be accessed by only one master at a time. If the use case tries to access the CRC from two different cores than the application must handle access to the CRC resource
