I'm sorry for the basic question.
When designing AWR systems, I know that PMICs and other devices avoid the IF band, but do I also need to avoid the AM band and other frequency bands?
What are the frequency bands of concern when designing AWR?

What frequencies do I care about in power supplies and other systems?

Hi Sakashita,

The Switching frequency of DCDC converters should be higher than the Intermediate frequency. DCDC converters should be chosen such that it should support higher switching frequencies so that it can overcome switching harmonics falling into radar baseband.

Hi Kundan,

I understood about the frequency of the DCDC, thank you.
What about other noise from frequencies like basic radios?
For example, the MaxIF in AWR6843 is listed as 10 MHz. The band of AM radio in Japan is between 526.5 kHz and 1606.5 kHz.
Does Radar's IF not relevant here?

Hi Sakashita,

Yes it is relevant. For example if you take the 526kHz it is close to DC, in the IF's range FFT plot the ghost targets can be removed by applying cluttering algorithms. But when you have interference at range of 1MHz frequency then we should take care of that frequency since the radar will detect Ghost targets.

I was recently assigned as an EPFAE.
But I don't know much about Radar,
