Hi All,

I'm currently working with a Linux-based device on an ARM architecture, specifically running kernel version 4.9. I'm looking to interface an Ambient Light Sensor (ALS) with part number OPT3005DTS to this device. Could someone provide guidance on obtaining the Linux driver code in C for this purpose?

Hi Jalen ,

Thank you for your prompt response. I reviewed the provided link, and it appears that drivers are available for OPT3001, OPT3004, OPT3006, and OPT3007. However, I am specifically working with the OPT3005. Would it be appropriate for me to develop a driver for the OPT3005 by utilizing the OPT3007 driver as a reference?

OPT3005 works as well with the provided driver.

Could you please confirm if the Opt3005 is compatible with the driver intended for the Opt3001, which is available through this link: Linux driver - www.ti.com/.../OPT3001SW-LINUX
