We are now check the temperature of AWRL6432 module using the internal temp sensor and thermo-camera.
In the result of three module, the difference between the internal sensor value and IC top temperature would be about 10degrees.
The thermal resistance between junction and package top is 0.36, so then we are considering that the difference is too big.
So then, we have some question,
・How much is the error of temperature sensor in AWRL6432?
・The internal sensor value would be higher than actual tenperature?
・The meaning of "error" is the difference every IC?
・How about repeatability in case of using same IC?
The power consumption: 300mW at 25degrees

Tak

Hi Tak,
Can you give more information on the internal sensor measurement that you have done. Have you taken readings from all the sensors or any specific one?
Thanks and Regards,
Sreedeep
We taken 4 sensors value. The first figure shown the max value in 4 sensors.

Tak
Hi Tak,
The measurement accuracy of internal temperature sensor in AWRL6432 is ±7°C as mentioned in the datasheet: https://www.ti.com/lit/gpn/awrl6432
I would suggest, you do a thermal profiling by averaging out the readings from the sensors over the required operating temperature range and characterize the tolerance.
Other factors like casing, system and profile would also cause deviation in external measurements.
