OPT3007: OPT3007 is placed under the OLED display area to detect ambient light brightness problems

Part Number: OPT3007

Hi sir,

This is Prgatron optical engineer Willy_Yeh.

We had used OPT3007 to be our ALS sensor behind of AMOLED active area.

We want to use OPT3007 to detect the ambient light intensity. When the ambient light is brighter than the display, increase the display brightness.

When the ambient light is darker than the display, decrease the display brightness.

But I want to ask why when the OLED pixel lighted on, the OPT3007 will not be interfered by the brightness of the OLED pixel when collecting ambient light?

The spectrum collected from OPT3007 is 450-700nm, but OLED pixels are also visible light. In theory, OPT3007 should be interfered by OLED pixels and cause malfunctions.

Does OPT3007 have other clibrate methods to avoid the impact of OLED pixel lighted on? Or is there any special principle?
