Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR6843
Hi experts.
I have some questions for IWR6843ISK.
I am testing a Long Range People Detection application with the IWR6843ISK EVM board.
Is it possible to measure distances over 100m with IWR6843ISK alone without using MMWAVEICBOOST?
There is the following information in the data sheet.
Is this a necessary part when running the Long Range People Detection application with the IWR6843ISK EVM alone?
===== Datasheet =================================================================================================================================================
9.3.1 RF and Analog Subsystem
The RF and analog subsystem includes the RF and analog circuitry – namely, the synthesizer, PA, LNA, mixer, IF, and ADC.
This subsystem also includes the crystal oscillator and temperature sensors.
The three transmit channels can be operated up to a maximum of two at a time (simultaneously) in 1.3-V mode.
The three Transmit channels simultaneous operation is supported only with 1-V LDO bypass and PA LDO disabled mode for transmit beamforming purpose, as required.
In this mode, the 1-V supply needs to be fed on the VIN_13RF1, VIN_13RF2, and VOUT PA pin; whereas, the four receive channels can all be operated simultaneously.

Also, the IWR6843ISK EVM is already connected to PMIC_1V0 <--> CB_PMIC_1V0 <--> RADAR_1P0_RF1 / 2.
When in LDO bypass MODE, is additional 1.0V supply required in addition to the existing 1.0V?
The IWR6843 EVM has a PMIC that provides a 1V supply. Do I need an additional 1V external power supply?
What settings and modifications are needed to run the Long Range People Detection application with the IWR6843ISK EVM alone?
Some posts on E2E say that it can work with USB hubs that can supply high current. Is it true?
Thanks.
