IWR6843AOPEVM: Problem connecting to Data port

Hi,

I am facing the same problem.

Recently bought IWR6843AOPEVM and was following the quick start guide.

Tried v3.6 mmwave SDK as well as v3.5 SDK. on both, am facing the Data com port problem.

Config port gets connected but not the data port. It keeps saying "waiting for data...."

In fact, followed the steps #2, #3 & #4 mentioned in thread [FAQ] IWR6843AOPEVM: MMWAVE-SDK 3.2.x startup sequence needs to be updated for IWR6843 ES1.0 and IWR6843AOPEVM ES1.0 - Sensors forum - Sensors - TI E2E support forums

Note: I am using desktop version of "mmwave Demo Visualizer" tool, not the cloud version. Reason is, COM ports were not getting detected in cloud app.

Hi,

Is the device in functional mode? You can see with the switch on the back of the device.

Also the platform is incorrect, you have an IWR6843AOP, not an AM27 device. Please change that to be correct.

Hi,

Yes, i can confirm that it is in fact in Functional mode. I even ensured all the toggle switches are in 'OFF' state.

And as for the platform selection, am getting only two options

Note: as i mentioned in my previous thread, am using desktop version of 'mmwave Demo Visualizer'.

Please use version 3.6 to be compatible with the IWR6843AOP.
