AWR2944: Questions on LVDSstream mode in SDK mmw demo

Hi expert,

Customer is trying to use LVDS stream in mmw demo with DCA1000 but met some issues.

1. Their configuration is

There is 00 inserted in ADC raw data.

Is the mmw demo transfer data in real or complex format? What's the reason is the 00 inserted in the ADC raw data?

2. Customer want to transfer user data by LVDS and they put userbuff to all 0 in code but he found the ADC data and user data is interleaved.

How to transfer user data correctly?

Hi Allen,

Please find my responses below:

The data format that is available on the 2944 is real-only. The zeros you see could arise when you have only 1 LVDS lane enabled to transfer the data whereas the DCA1000 would be configured to receive on 2 lanes. Enabling both LVDS lanes on the 2944 should resolve this issue.
You can choose the interleaving of the data in the data format config, or you can perform a transpose transfer from ADC buffer.

Hi,

1.I have already set initCfg.lvdsCfg.lvdsLaneEnable = 0x3U;

2.I use DCA1000 Hwmode to capture,fine Rx4 channel data is 0;and other channel data doesn't look reasonable.

Hello Gao,

Can you please move to the latest SDK 4.4.1.2 SDK?
Then use the default config present in C:\ti\mmwave_mcuplus_sdk_04_04_01_02\mmwave_mcuplus_sdk_04_04_01_02\ti\demo\awr294x\mmw\profiles\tdm_awr2944\profile_LVDS.cfg

You will not see any issues.
