DCA1000EVM: DCA1000 FPGA RST is steady red, and the network port is disconnected.

Hello，

The board has been very good before, today pulled out, after the power, FPGA_RST light red, the network port can not be connected, please help to find the reason.

Another post says you can re-download FPGA firmware using Lattice's Diamond Programmer. But Diamond Programmer can't seem to download it directly.

Using Diamond Programmer to re-fire the FPGA bit, the problem still cannot be solved.

Thanks for the post. You may want to double check your switch positions against the user manual, in case you have moved them. (see Figure 16 specifically, which is different than what you have selected) The re-programming procedure is in this manual, too. https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/spruij4a/spruij4a.pdf

If you are still having issues and have reconnected the Ethernet cable, reconnected the RADAR EVM to the DCA, and double checked that your static IP is set up on your PC, etc. Please do provide some sharper images of your setup as well as any screen shots you can take of where the failure is occurring.

thanks for the document. Only difference i can see here is the choice on the SPI flash device.

in the manual it says to choose this on (in the dropdown): SPI-N25Q128A (page 25)

Can you try that out and double check your switch settings, as well, if you are changing them.

I use Diamond Programmer 3.11

there is no “SPI-N25Q128A” in the device list. I think "N25Q128A" is equivelent to “SPI-N25Q128A”~

Gary - in looking at the schematic, if the FPGA is being held in reset only FPGA and the switch SW7 are connected to control the red LED you have on - something physical may have happened to the FPGA on your board. Are you using in ESD safe or protected environment?
