AWRL6432BOOST: My EVM does not show COM port in Device manager

Can you give some more details about your problem? Are you running the demo with one of our visualizers? Which one and which version?

What action causes the usb connection to suddenly drop?

Thanks for quickly reply.

1. Details about problem

AWR6432 EVM can't connect to UART port , Thus i cannot use visualizer.exe

(Com port does'not show in device manager.)

2. Viusalizers

Version : 5.3.0.0

( SDK : 05_03_00_02  )

3. Causes

This problem occured when i opearted  visualizer.exe for motion and presence ( motion_and_presence_detection_demo.debug.appiamge)

Have you tried another PC, or do you have another EVM you can try? Also please make sure the device is in either flashing or functional mode:

i already did as you mentioned ( Trying  anoher EVM(working) ,  Device mode) but, it did not work properly.

Do you have any reset process in EVM?

Tim is out right now and will be back tomorrow, but I would recommend checking the status of the XDS110 on your board. While the board is connected to your PC, open up a command terminal and navigate to the following directory for your Code Composer Studio installation: <CCS_VER>\ccs\ccs_base\common\uscif\xds110. From there, you can run the command: xdsdfu -e

This will display the status, firmware revision, and serial number of all XDS110s connected to your PC. There are other XDS110 commands that are described in the XDS110SupportReadMe.pdf in that same folder. If the XDS tool returns no devices, then there is a good chance that the XDS110 or USB connection of the board was damaged.
