MMWAVE-STUDIO: Request for DataCapturedemo_xWR.lua Script Compatible with mmwave Studio 03.01.01.00

Part Number: MMWAVE-STUDIO
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR2944EVM

Dear Texas Instruments Technical Support Team,

I am reaching out to you regarding an issue I have encountered with the mmWave Studio software. In the version mmwaveStudio 02.01.01.00, there was a script located at \mmwaveStudio\Scripts\DataCapturedemo_xWR.lua that I utilized frequently. However, I've noticed that this script is missing in the mmwave Studio 03.01.01.00 version.

Currently, I am working with the AWR2944EVM connected to the DCA1000. Unfortunately, I am constrained to using version 03 of the studio due to compatibility requirements. I would like to continue using the DataCapturedemo_xWR.lua script to extract certain information. However, when I try to employ the script from the version 02 with the newer version, I encounter errors which I suspect are due to firmware incompatibilities.

Would it be possible for TI to provide a version of the DataCapturedemo_xWR.lua script that is compatible with mmwave Studio 03.01.01.00 and suitable for use with the AWR2944EVM?

I appreciate your assistance in this matter and eagerly await your guidance.

Thank you for your time and support.

Best regards
Dylan

  • Hi Dylan,

Please find the attached sample lua script.

This is a very simple script that does a small TDM waveform. You can use this as a base and implement your own waveform by adding the right API call sequences. The Studio versions coming up will have some corresponding sample lua scripts covering widely used evaluation sequences as in the versions before.

Please note this is only a reference for you to get started with and is not tested with the post processing version in the 3.1.1.0 Studio release.
