OPT3004: Are there sensitivity differences between DNP package and DTS package

Part Number: OPT3004

Hi Team,

Customer used our OPT3004 in their IP-CAM projects.

Could you pls advise are there sensitivity differences between DNP package and DTS package?

We know that sensor area are different for these 2 packages, and sensor area center has a minor offset(0.09) for DNP package.

Need your help to clarify sensitivity between OPT3004DNPR and OPT3004DTSR. Could you please provide sensitivity spec for reference?

Thanks and best regards,

Terry

  • Hi Terry,

The packages will be quite similar with performance, but here is a comparison between the two.

  • Hi Jalen,

Thanks for providing information. We can see the deviation different between 10% and 20% from below table. It should affect output result or sensitivity under the same test condition. TI on whether performance delta between OPT3004DNPR and OPT3004DTSR is expected. We would like to confirm what is the difference in hardware? For example, filter or coating...etc. Could you please let us know what's different about the hardware?

    Thanks,

    Rex

  • Hi Rex,

The device deviation is simply due to the package. I cannot comment further on that.

  • Hi Jalen,

We understood the deviation from the package. Our test deviation exceeds 10% under the same conditions. Do you have tests with deviation values?

    Thanks,

    Rex

  • Hi Rex,

Sorry, but I don't have that information to provide. You will just have to look at datasheet spec.
