AWR6843AOPEVM: long-distance radar testing experiments

Part Number: AWR6843AOPEVM

Dear TI:

We conducted long-distance radar testing experiments, primarily observing radar tracking performance.

We modified the radar configuration ('based People_Counting lab') to detect targets up to 15 meters away.

We identified two issues:

  1. When personnel moved away from the radar, we observed that the trajectory height increased (radar set High 1.5m). Is this a normal phenomenon? If not, how can it be addressed?"
  2. The second test involved having the subjects walk back, and we observed that the tracking trajectory became discontinuous, consistently occurring in multiple test instances. What could be the issue, and how can it be resolved?

Thanks for your help

Kyle
