Hi Team,
I am using the three TMP392 sensors in my application. Can i use common SETA and SETB resistors for all three sensors or do we need seperate resistors for each?

Hello Vivek,
I do not recommend using the same SETA & SETB resistors for multiple TMP392s. The SETA and SETB resistors are measured on power up, and if there are multiple TMP392s connected to those resistors, the SET resistors wont be measured properly. You will need seperate SET resistors for each TMP392.

Hi Alex,
If i am not considering accuracy in this case, can we use common resistors for all TMP392?
Apart from accuracy what are the other issues, can you explain this.

Vivek
Vivek,
Its not a matter of accuracy. If the TMP392 cannot accurately measure the SET resistors on power up, the output channel will go to a permanent output-zero state and the OUT channel cant be used. So its not a safe risk to use common SET resistors for multiple TMP392s. You may see it work on a couple boards but at a large scale there will be problems.
