IWR6843AOP: How to configure AOP for 15m range people and cars detections

Hi 6843AOP Champ

Can you please guide us to setup AOP EVK to detect people and card in 15m distance range?

My customer tried to change the Profile config as below. However the test result is not improved. 

Is there anything else to modify to see the extended detection range? e.g. Power?

    Hello Jack,

    Changing the chirp design is only one piece of the puzzle for detection changes. Are they using out of box demo? They should lower the CFAR threshold which can be done in the cfg file, same location as where you adjust the profileCfg command. Think of the CFAR threshold as a sort of "power" level a target must have to not be filtered out. Does not matter what the chirp design looks like, if a target's reflections are never higher than the threshold then it will never be detected.
