Hello TI support team:

Uniflash with default "sbl_qspi.release.tiimage" and our mmw application FW injection error case occurred on device with"MX25V1635F NOR FLASH ".

UART cable connected with "Auxiliary Data Port" and SOP pin is connected.

How to complete FW injection on MX25V1635F empy flash? thank you!

Hello Edward,

Firstly, I hope that you are flashing in uniflash with the application port and not auxiliary port. Auxiliary port is only for receiving the data from the demo for AWR2944 on the visualizer.

From your query looks like you are using the auxiliary port. Can you please confirm this first?

Hello Jeff,

It will be easier for me if you can check a few steps and confirm if you following the same:
1) In device manager, check which COM port says application port. In the Uniflash tool also select the same application port
2) Is your device in SOP 5(flashing mode when you executing the Uniflash flashing?

Hello Edward,

Can you first try step by step as I suggest and provide me feedback on each:

a) First flash the SBL_QSPI and the demo appimage and select the application COM PORT, please send me images so I can compare (from dev manager and what you select in UNIFLASH). Also, while flashing ensure that your serial ports are closed and no application other than UNIFLASH is accessing it

b) If it doesn't work, that means one of 2 things:

i) The flash commands need to be changes for this, you have to modify the syscfg in C:\ti\mmwave_mcuplus_sdk_04_04_01_02\mcu_plus_sdk_awr294x_09_00_00_15\examples\drivers\boot\sbl_qspi\awr294x-evm\r5fss0-0_nortos\example.syscfg :

With this change in the EVM it should work.

ii) If you are using a custom EVM you will have to check your schematics if there is any issue.

If using the TI EVM, which version are you using?
