hi,

I detect the object( one human) with dca1000+mmwaveStudio+1843boost, I found the amplitude of raw data is they are all low, that means the weak mmwave signal is reflected by object.

so my question is:

I want to know whether are there some testing cases of materials for objects about reflection properties in TI laboratory or actual environment? such as human, cars, trees,etc.

hi,

forgot to ask you for help, for example, whether I can get a result of power , such as 0.1uW/cm2, in 50m of range using the 1843boost evm by a proper configurating way？in short, I want to enhance the signal so that it can detect far range or even there is a strong reflected signal in near range zone.

generally, how to calculate the strength of signal at one point. power with uW or amplitude with uV or ?

You can also look into this forum on "RCS computation" to see how you can tabulate some things similarly.

For your last question, the received power can be obtained by the Radar equation. Please refer to the document below for more details on programming the mmWave device for the best range.
