I'm using TI's SRR program, in order to find blind spot detection on my car. I observed the UART data sending from AWR1642BOOST using docklight and understanded the data frame. I found out magic word, version, packet length ,platform, frame number, time CPU cycles, number of detected objects, number of TLVs, sub frame number and that TLV packets containing its type, length, doppler, position etc....

what i'm confused is that, what does TLV type 1,2,3 & 4 means?

how number of TLVs and number of detected objects are related?

in the last TLV packet last few bits are 015, i found it is to match the multiple of 32, but from which count ,it is taking that value? is it total frame size or some other?

which function is sending this UART data?

can you please help me to solve these doubts?

TLV is a format in which we send out data and it looks like the following:

Different types of data as shown below are sent in as each TLV:

Eg : Tag type 1 can be MMWDEMO_OUTPUT_MSG_DETECTED_POINTS , Tag type 2 can be MMWDEMO_OUTPUT_MSG_RANGE_PROFILE and so on.

The number of detected objects would be described inside one of the TLVs.

This depends on the TLV format. You can refer to the description of that particular output from the demo and get more info.

MmwDemo_transmitProcessedOutput will take care of sending each of the TLV data invoking the UART drivers.

I can't find MmwDemo_transmitProcessedOutput function in the program, can you help me with its path,

also , i understood the system execution flow, but is there any document to understand the code flow?

Can you let me know which SDK/Tirex version you are using?

Also for code flow, you will have to refer the doxygen which will be available in the docs folder or you would have to understand from the code itself.

it's ok ,i understood the code flow. Thanks. But now i want to test with a real scenario, so i'm trying to run this program in the AWR1642 stand alone , without running SRR_gui, is that possible? can you help me in that, please?....

the SDK i'm using is mmwave_sdk_03_05_00_04, and using it for SRR

Hi Nithin,

I would kindly request you to create a different thread when a new topic arises.

Having said that, it is possible to run the SRR demo without the GUI as well. You would just have to provide the inputs from the GUI to the AWR device in some other form (maybe through TeraTerm etc.)
