IWR6843ISK: TI is not helping me at all

Part Number: IWR6843ISK
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MMWAVEICBOOST, , IWRL6432

Hi. I needed the source code for the binary file used in vital signs lab and TI is not giving me the NDA to sign for I don't know what reason. I need it for a project I am working on and since the accuracy of the lab running is quite low, I thought I could tweak the code and use Machine Learning to get better results. Now, how am I able to do it if I am not provided with the source code? I spent quite a lot of amount (almost $1150) in getting the equipment (IWR6843ISK + MMWAVEICBOOST) but how can I use it if I am not provided with the source code? I am new to signal processing and therefore I can't design and flash my own algorithms at such a short time. Whoever is reading this, Please help me.

  • Hello,

I am not sure why customer service is being slow to respond to you, it could be due to the beginning of the holiday season, but as stated in the prior thread we on this forum cannot help with acquisition of a NDA and must go through customer service. You can try making another ticket, or wait some time as IWRL6432 Vital Signs is targeted to be released publically next month. This will be released alongside the source code, no NDA required.

  • Hi,

Thanks for the response. I did talk to ti customer support but they told me that they can't share the NDA with me because they have limited the number of companies they sign NDAs with. This is a huge bummer as the equipment is useless to me if I don't have the source code. Also, since I have IWR6843ISK, I don't think IWRL6432's source code will work on my radar. Please suggest what to do.

  • Hello,

The 6432 Vital Signs code will have details on how the vital signs part is implemented, and you will be able to port it to 6843 using People Tracking demo as a baseline. I will say that by far the easiest way around this if you are unable to get a NDA and are unsure in your ability or time needed to port the code over, is buying a 6432 EVM. Admittedly it is not the greatest solution, but it is my best suggestion.

    Best Regards,
