Hi Teams,
Can you kindly help to support this request?
Can we leave VOC & /OC floating when not using these two pins?

Hi Mitch,
Thanks for the reply.
May I know how many the power consumption difference will be brought by floating this two pins?
We are trying to attack our competitor, whose these two pins were NC and floating configured by customer, but P2P was requested by customer. So I am asking for help.

Marsh
Hello Marsh,
There is no way to really know because we won't know what the floating voltages are. For example, when VOC is left floating, it's possible that the device sees it as an over current and tries to trip the OC. With this left floating, that won't be a big deal, but there will be some small leakage current.
That being said, the current draw will be minimal, and either way the device will be within datasheet spec. My recommendations for the first comment are just best practice, but they will be fine leaving the pins floating.
Regards,
Mitch
Hello Mitch,
Thank you for the reply. Although based on my understanding that Voc & /OC shouldn't affect the accuracy, but to make sure, i would like to check with you twice is that true whether using Voc & /OC or not will not affect the accuracy.
Looking forward to your reply.
