It turns out that there is no further analysis for different detection mode.  I guess these four mode is provided in our HWA, and it is up to customer to decide which mode works the best for them.

Thank you for the information. Could you please answer the second question, regarding the Mitigation technique ?

I had two more questions regarding the interference:

1, I am able to enable the HWA with interference detection, I tried checking the registers INTF_COUNT_ALL_CHIRP and INTF_COUNT_ALL_FRAME to check for the interference status in debug mode as mentioned in the 6432 TRM, could not find the registers, but I found two more registers in debug mode INTF_FRAME_ZEROCOUNT and INTF_CHIRP_ZEROCOUNT which are changing as and when interference is detected, I am assuming it is providing interference status.

Could you please confirm if my understanding is correct?

2. There are two APIs declared as extern in hwa.h, HWA_readInterfChirpCountReg and HWA_readInterfFrameCountReg to read the registers of interference status but if I use the APIs, I am getting linker error while building. I could not find the definition for these APIs.

Please let me know how to get the register data using the APIs.

For your first question, I have confirmed with our designers that it is an error in the TRM to mention INTF_COUNT_ALL_CHIRP and INTF_COUNT_ALL_FRAME.  It should be  INTF_FRAME_ZEROCOUNT and INTF_CHIRP_ZEROCOUNT instead.  So your understanding is correct.

For your second question, it turns out that HWA_readInterfChirpCountReg and HWA_readInterfFrameCountReg are the API for other versions of HWA and can not be used for this version of HWA inside xwrlx432.   The code needs some clean up.

Sorry my question was not clear, in the TRM of 6432, it is mentioned that after localization the interference is Zeroed - out, my understanding here is that the samples are replaced by zeros. Is my understanding correct ?

Also, Could you please let me know if there is any way to enable and disable the mitigation in HWA ?

Hi, there:

Yes, zeroed-out means that the samples over the threshold will be replaced with zeros.

In the Technical Reference Manual (www.ti.com/.../swru599), in Table 10-7. Pre-Processing Block Registers, you can find the related field to enable or disable interference zero-out (INTF_THRESH_EN).
