OPT3005: Some questions about Specification

Part Number: OPT3005
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPT3004

Hello Expert,

Our customer have a plan to use this device.

There are specifications I would like to check before final application.

I would appreciate it if you could reply to each item.

1) Based on 6500K color temperature, is there Photo Current data for each Lux?

2) There doesn't seem to be an exact value for Angle of Half Sensitivity in the datasheet. Can I see it as (typ) 58º on the graph?

3) We request the min and max values of the Sensitivity Wavelength Range. The datasheet only lists Peak=550nm.

4) Does the “OPT3005” product have a built-in temperature compensation circuit?

5) We compared the Normalized Response data according to temperature of “OPT3004” and “OPT3005”.

If a temperature compensation circuit exists in the “OPT3005” product, can it be said that its performance is lower than that of the “OPT3004”?

6) Is there any graph data showing Dark Current compared to Temp?

Best Regards,

Michael

  • Hi Michael,

    See my answers below:

    1. Would this be in reference to the Measurement Output Result? You can expect similar performance at 6500K Color Temperature.

    2. There is datasheet spec as below. Half power angle is 57°

    3. We can't provide further information that the Spectral Response vs Wavelength plot and that the OPT3005 has up to 99.99% of Near IR rejection

4 and 5. I will double check the details on this internally with the team.

    6. I can check if we have data collected for this plot. Although likely figures 7-10 and 7-11 are the best indication.
