Dear costumer service team,
in the document "Design Guide: TIDEP-01012 - Imaging Radar Using Cascaded mmWave Sensor Reference Design" you mention on page 4, that the azimuth angle resolution is 1.4 degrees when using beam steering. How is this value being obtained? I could only think of getting this value when using multiple beams, whereas each beam must not use all 12 Tx antennas at the same time. Is that correct? Is there an application note addressing the implementation or the algorithm in detail?

Currently there is no application note addressing the algo implementation. Let me check internally regarding how the angle resolution was calculated and get back to you in 2 days' time.

There are 86 virtual channels in the azimuth direction in the 4-chip imaging radar reference design. The angle resolution is calculated with a standard equation as below:
Here D would be the aperture size and lambda is the wavelength of the RF signal.
