LM96063: Can this fan controller be used with a 48V fan

I would like to use this fan to control a 48V fan.  However, the examples given in the datasheet are for a 5V or 12V fan.  Can the resistor divider values be modified to safely be used with a 48V fan?

    Hi David,

    LM96063 has an Abs Max of 6V, so the 12V resistor network is already trusted to protect it beyond its stated limits. Keep in mind a resistor divider may be all that's needed for TACH input, but PWM output is limited to 6mA. You may need a gate or other buffer circuit for the PWM output, such as the gate shown in the AMC6821 datasheet.
