TMP421: alternative solution study

Hi Expert,

My customer is currently using TMP421AIDCNR and they want to added TMP441AIDCNR as an alternative.

Do these two part can fully replaced each other without any BOM change and application gaps? 

Please let me know if you have any concern.

    Hello Terry,

    The main difference is that TMP441AIDCNR provides the beta correction feature. The Beta Correction register is an extra register located at 0x0C and does not impact software compatibility. One difference in software, is Device ID. TMP421 has a ID of 0100001 and TMP441 has a ID of 1000001. TMP441 and TMP421 both are pin to pin compatible with similar input voltage, current, and temperature specs. Watch out for the max Rs and Cdiff values. TMP441 have lower max values.
