I need Half Power Beamwidth of the of the Transmit Antennas on the AWR1642BOOST.
I referred to the antenna radiation pattern on the user guide of AWR1642BOOST but it is difficult to estimate it accurately. Moreover, there is an antenna overview available as well for all the boards but the provided values are 6dB beamwidths. I am trying to calculate the antenna projection on the surface of the ground and i need relatively accurate estimation.
Moreover, as per the maximum allowable limit of EIRP<55dBm, there is sufficient room for increasing the Tx power or antenna gain since the EIRP = 12.5dBm+10.5dBi=23dBm for the AWR1642BOOST. Is there any particular reason for keeping a margin of 32dBm below the permissible limit apart from the power consumption issues pertaining to realizing PA on a CMOS MMIC in mmwave 77GHz band?
Having said that there is room for enthusiasts to explore the possibility of increasing the antenna gain at the cost of increased volume.
Please guide me through the queries.
