Yes, as the code will be optimized, this will affect the functionality of the code. Some of the cases where the code will be optimized are,

• While using memset, memcpy
• For loops
• When the variable is declared and not used in RHS of any operation.

This can be avoided by writing some test cases or re-check each function. For more details, refer to 1.3.8. Optimization Options — TI Arm Clang Compiler Tools User's Guide
