IWR6843ISK-ODS: Ultra-short-range detection of fluid level and flow rate

Hi -

I am interested in using a 60Ghz sensor such as the IWR6843ISK-ODS to detect fluid level and flow rate. However, the sensor will need to be in close proximity to the fluid (separation of 10mm to 100mm). Is this type of sensor suitable (antenna configuration? chirp?)? Application examples I have seen with this device such as breathing/heartbeat detection seem to show a minimum range of 100mm or so, but for our application this is the maximum range.

    Hi,

    Consider using the IWRL6432 sensor for your application. You can find the level sensing demo based on this sensor at the below location

    IWRL6432 is low cost low power sensor which can provide 1mm accuracy till 10m with the level sensing demo

    IWR6843ISK and IWRL6432 both can be placed at 10cm from the fluid level but if it needs to be placed further closer the some modifications to the demo will be needed but it is possible to place it closer than 10cm
