MMWCAS-DSP-EVM: SDK Use Case Execution issue: infinite loop on uart console, no launch possible

- MMWCAS RF EVM RevE PROC054  => 4 chip AWR2243, present on board
- MMWCAS DSP EVM PROC055B

Setup:
Bundle MMWCAS DSP+RF connect with UART to PC Host


Need:
I need to a quick demo with out of the box SD use case:
- that allows radar point clouds, resident post processingon DSP EVM and strem it to Network: that seems to match to sdk Vision use case :
C:\ti\PROCESSOR_SDK_VISION_03_08_00_00\vision_sdk\apps\src\rtos\radar\src\usecases\cascade_radar_object_detect\chains_cascadeRadarOd.c
Can you confirm ?
- that allows online reconfiguration of sensor in several mode such as SRR/MRR/LRR

Issue observed:
I am trying to run SDK Radar Use Case :
After logging as Root trough UART connection, "opt/vision_sdk/app.out" binary is launched resulting in infinite loop.
The test was done with shipped SD card and Wwith a new flashed SD card ( binary from PROCESSOR_SDK_CASCADE_RADAR_03_08_00_00_Binaries), the result is the same

I have no mean to understand the issue from my side, can you provide support on this topic ? (sse attached snapshot)

    Unfortunately the team that developed the Processor Radar SDK demo is no longer available for support.

    Our team is able to support the raw data capture using the Cascade kit as described in

    C:\ti\mmwave_studio_03_00_00_14\docs\mmwave_studio_cascade_user_guide.pdf

    Matlab scripts are provided to process the raw data

    C:\ti\mmwave_studio_03_00_00_14\mmWaveStudio\MatlabExamples

    Thank you for your response.

    I must admit that I am quite surprised by your answer. In fact, SDK Use Case Radar is presented as major tool ,in a lot of documents (UG...) that allows developers to begin development. The availibility of such tools lead us to choose this kinds of boards.

    As a support team, can you at list reproduce the issue from your side to check that nothing os wrong from my side?

    Last question, does that means that SDK Radar Demo is no more supported for any eval kit radar ( XWR ...) support.

    I am sorry for the confusion. The communication on our website is sometimes not clear.

    The only demo that is not supported is the cascade demo included in the PROCESSOR_SDK_VISION_03_08_00_00.

    All the other radar demos and mmwave SDKs are supported (AWR1843, AWR2944 ...)

    What application are you interested in?

    Q1: Can you confirm that ,as mentionned in your  documentation, TI Team fully give support reagrding  IWR6843ISK :

    - OOB demo ,

    - associated examples shown in Radar Tool Box (Industrials Robotics, Medical ...) 

    - ROS1/2 TI drivers 

    Sometimes compatibility of this tools is relie to HW such as "IWR6843 ES2.0 Only"   => need to be sure before ordering ?

    Q2:I need to evaluate this radar by tuning different output for the radar : wheter it be PCL, Range,Angel,Doppler or ADC Raw ? Can you confirm that this IWR6843 can have this flexibility ? If yes how processing configuration can be done ?

    Q3: Regarding the docs, i need to buy a new setup fo the the test:

    - IWR6843 ISK (https://www.ti.com/tool/IWR6843ISK)

    - "Debug board":  (https://www.ti.com/tool/MMWAVEICBOOST) => Can you confirm the needs of this board ? No jtag probe is needed ?

    - "Capture board" DCA1000EVM Data Capture Card: can your confirm that only raw data can be output through LVDS ?

    Also, can you confirm the HW bundle is Ok ?

    Yes all these demos are supported. The E2E forums here can be leveraged to help support running the demos, understanding device functionality. Full application and algorithm development is outside the scope of support here.

    Yes the IWR6843ISK does offer all these output formats. THe out of box demo chain will allow for outputting all the processed data, and it can be configured to output ADC data as well.

    For using the IWR6843ISK, you can use it on its own to run demo code and visualize on-chip processed data. You will need the MMWAVEICBOOST if you want to debug code. It includes an onboard JTAG emulation that only needs a USB connection to a PC. If you wish to collect ADC data, you will also need the DCA1000 data capture board.
