AWR2243: MMWCAS-RF-EVM SPI control software

Part Number: AWR2243
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MMWCAS-RF-EVM,

Hello experts,

I will connect MMWCAS-RF-EVM to FPGA board.

I would like to control SPI of AWR2243 from ARM CPU in FPGA.
I have the following questions, please let me know.

1.Please tell me the reference documents.

2.I think the sample code is below, is it correct?
C:\ti\mmwave_dfp_02_02_04_00\ti\example\mmWaveLink_Cascade_Example

3.How does C:\PROCESSOR_SDK_RADAR_03_08_00_00\vision_sdk differ?

Best regards,
Takashi Miura

  • Hi Takashi-san,

Thank you for reaching out on e2e! Please find my responses as follows:

    1. For the control of AWR2243, you would need to refer to the mmWave DFP ICD, DFP userguide, release notes and the AWR2243 data sheet mainly.
    2. Yes. This sample code can be used for reference.
    3. This SDK is used mainly for the development on the TDA2x on the MMWCAS-DSP-EVM which is used as a host processor in our 4-chip cascade reference design. This host will be carrying out the processing of the ADC data that it obtains from various channels of the AWR devices.

Let me know if there further questions on the topic.

    Regards,

    Kaushik

  • Hello Kaushik-san

    Thank you for your reply.

Please tell me about mmWave DFP ICD in detail.

If possible, please tell me where the mmWave DFP ICD is located in website.
I know the DFP user guide and release notes are in mmwave_dfp_02_02_04_00.zip, but I'm not sure about the mmWave DFP ICD.

    Best regards,
    Takashi Miura

  • Hi Takashi-san,

You can find the link for the ICD below: The details are also enlisted in the same document. This document mainly describes interface level information of the firmware on the mmwave device.

    mmWave ICD 2.2.4.0

Please let me know if there are further questions.

    regards,

    Kaushik

  • Hello Kaushik-san

    Thank you for your support.
I understand that ICD is Interface Control Document.

    Best regards,
