hi,

I want to know whether TI‘s Engineer teams did some work, for example, about demonstration or experiment of reflective materials for millimeter wave radar?

these materials include one or more as below:

1. human body.

2. Concrete wall.

3. glass.

4. paperboard

5. cars.

6. bicycles

...

if your team did some work about these materials' reflective effect, whatever one or two of these materials, give me some clues, thank you.

and It's best and appreciate for me if you give me corresponding website link or document guides.

I have another question :

Can I use Tinfoil paper covering object(one chair)? and do you know ,to what extent, the echo signal strength can be enhanced?

Hello Wembanyama,

It should increase the signal strength, but we cannot comment on to what extent as it depends on the RCS (which in turn will depend on shape and orientation of the chair). You will have to measure the signal strength on your end itself. You can collect 1 dataset for no foil case and one case with foil, then see peak Rx power of chair to see exact improvement in dB.
