PGA302: Working of PGA302

Part Number: PGA302
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430FR5969

Hello,

How exactly is the PGA302 working? If I'm not wrong, it's basically a instrumentation amplifier, as in it amplifies the differential voltage applied at input. But how is the signal moving? Is it going to ADC then the MCU (master, connected externally..or if using the EVM, no need for that) then DAC and finally the output is obtained? Is the flow correct or is it something else? And is one supposed to enter values in every register...like the P Gain Select, PADC, DAC, etc? How should one approach it? I'm unable to see any results from both the EVM using the GUI and the PGA302 IC alone using external MCU (MSP430FR5969).

I need some tangible results by the end of this week. I would really appreciate and quick and accurate solution. Thank you.
