AWR2243BOOST: AWR2243boost FMCW RADAR block diagram

Part Number: AWR2243BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR2243

Hello,

I wish to inquire about the FMCW RADAR block diagram.

Upon reviewing the specification document concerning the block diagram, I noticed the absence of 90 degree phase shift for the generation of the IQ channel.

It is my understanding that for the generation of the complex IQ signal,

90 degree phase shift is required, below figure (Using a complex-baseband architecture in FMCW radar systems.pdf.)

So what is suitable for AWR2243boost when using complex mode?

Thank you.

  • Hi,

The block diagram in the datasheet for AWR2243 is a simplified version of the RX chain. In the white paper you are referring to provides a lot more details about the Rx path and the processing that is done.

So, your understanding is correct. In the Datasheet the diagram is generic and in the white paper it contains a lot more details.

I hope this resolves your qeury.

    Thanks,

    Pradipta.
