DCA1000EVM: How to modificate DCA1000 ethernet packet delay time

Hi expert,

I use DCA1000 default ethernet configuration data to caputure ADCdata,the default Ethernet delay is pre-programmed as 25 µs in both the FPGA and software,so ethernet throughput varies up to 325 Mbps.

Now I want to up to 515Mbps， but I cann't use mmwave studio GUI to change ethernet packet delay time.

There can be a other better way to change it ,through MMwave studio API or change DCA1000 Firmware EEPROM?

Hi Josh，

I want to use CLI tool or EEROM to change it, our product can not connect mmwave studio.I use CLI tool to reduce 10us，but I measured the packet delay time is still 25us.Could you check the delay time in json file is valid?

Hello,

The JSON file is the intended method for modifying the ethernet packet delay. Have you tried this already but the packet delay does not seem to change? Please confirm.

Hi Josh，

I tried using the CLI to modified the delay time again, it meet as expectation. But we find lose large of UDP data, Is 25us delay time the best params ?

Hello,

I'm sorry about the delay here. We have found that 25us gives a good balance of throughput and data loss. It is possible that with a more powerful computer you may be able to reduce the delay time further and increase throughput without experiencing data loss.
