LMT87: PCN : 20240203000

Hi team,

I'd like to know about the pin one designator for SOT devices.
PCN(20240203000) said current is Pin One Stripe only.
The 2 year old device we have is a Pin one Dot.

Is this a PCN mistake?

Hello Kengo,

Since the datasheet only describes the pin 1 area as an "index" area, I will try to obtain a more clear answer and will reach out to someone from our Test team and should be responding tomorrow.

Hello Kengo,

The PCN is correct. You can expect to have devices with either a dot pin one marking or a pin one stripe.

Thank you for your confirmation.

LMT87 was a dot marking since the past that not stripe.

Hello Kengo,

Yes, the pin one marking on the LMT87 has been a dot. The PCN sent out was part of an effort to inform that other devices which come from the same plant would be changed to a dot marking. The LMT87 in this case, is unaffected.

I understand that LMT87 is not covered by this PCN.
Does this mean that LMT87 is only for dots so not for stripes?
