Hi Team:
May I ask whether the strong magnetic field will affect the operation of OPT3101?
Thanks!

Pengsheng,
Cross talk can be in two ways. One is optical crosstalk, this is where some of the IR light is getting directly from the emitter to the photodiode and not as a reflected signal. The other is electrical, where the EM (electromagnetic) field of the tx part of the IC gets into the rx part of the IC. In order to interfere the EM signal has to be at 10Mhz and modulated. Remember that inside of the IC is very close so some coupling does happen. Outside of the IC you can get electrical crosstalk if you have a poor layout with adjacent tx and rx components and traces. external EM interference is not likely as it would have to couple into the traces and the photodiode. Use good RF layout techniques and you will not have a problem.
