Customer received AUTOSAR  and CSP to meet AWR1843AOP, But MCAL Driver seems to be for AWR1843 as they faced error during importing step.
The customer reported that 1843 and 1843AOP are expected to have different pin maps, which is causing errors when importing.
Please deliver the MCAL Driver corresponding to AWR1843AOP.

They received the package below. (AWR1843aop.zip)

They are using AUTOSAR 4.0.3 and MCAL plugin for AUTOSAR 4.2.1 on EB Tresos.

The issue is found when Import Port MCAL to AUTOSAR 4.0.3 standard and require additional definition when used.

Could you please provide us with the documents of Technical Reference and Configuration Guide  for following area.

Hello Shruti. I'm the customer Beomjin whom I asked upper ask. Likewise Mr.Cha aked you, I need AWR1843AOP MCAL package. Ohterwise, I can't apply MCAL to AUTOSAR platform which version is 4.0.3. In addition, I wonder that I was delivered right MCAL driver for SPI(If Non-AOP is same as AOP). I only can find configuration about QSPI, not MIBSPI through MCAL that I delivered. Not only QSPI, I need to use MIBSPI so that I can control TCAN IC and HSM chip. Please check whether it's right driver. If it does, can you guid me how to configure SPI?

As of now, TI provides full support for AWR1843 MCAL package. Is there any specific reason you have for not using AWR1843 boost?

Regarding the MIBSPI CFG files, I did check in the MCAL package for nonAOP device, we have an example based on MIBSPI. 

Also, can you tell us who is supporting you with AUTOSAR?

As a reason of selecting AOP device, The device has been fixed to 1843AOP by their client company. 

They need to AUTOSAR-MCAL bring up on top of AOP version. Hence the AOP Conversion Guidance is required.

Regarding AUTOSAR support? Did you mention it about Supplier such like Vector, Mentor Graphics, Electrobit ?

We know the technical support has been followed by these supplier in case of Auto MCU project. right?

Yes, we want to know the technical support provider for AUTOSAR. Also, regarding the selection of device, can you check with them why can't they use the AWR1843 boost? is there any specific reason for that?

There are some information I want you to share with.

1. AUTOSAR supplier is Vector. I use Davinci Configurator to import MCALs which I set in EB.

2. What is AWR1843 boost? Is it tool for AUTOSAR? or Is it tool for EB? As it is first time that I use MCAL of TI product, I have no information of it.

3. There are some reasons that I asked you about SPI driver's full supply

Fist I can't add more channels. As you can check at the picture below, It is unable to add more channels.

Second, I can't make QspiChannelMode and TransferComand empty. If the channel is intended to use as MIBSPI, I think there is way to set or make empty.

In addition, further steps for setting e.g SpiExternalDevice on have same issues.

In the files  I was delivered by arrow, there isn't any kind of configuration guide.

In conclusion, I need MCAL files which are set as AWR1843AOP and configuration guide for every MCAL.

So, 1843 boost (www.ti.com/.../AWR1843BOOST) is a device similar to the 1843AOP device, TI provides full MCAL support for the 1843 boost, hence we wanted to check if the customer can use the 1843 boost device for their application.

Thank you for your kind explanation for the device.

PHA decided to use 1843AOP for AUTOSAR platform, and it is unchangeable.

Once we fixed MCU and got CSP from Vector, we can't change it. Further, Vector is making sample project with comunication and network management function on EVM board(1843AOP).

I wonder if I can adjust 1843 boost MCAL to the AUTOSAR.

I want you to check two things.

1) MCAL

- Can you send me 1843 boost MCAL, so that I can try to apply it?

- Can you check MCAL for 1843AOP that I requested before?

2) SPI driver

- Please check it. In example code that I confirmed, MIBSPI, there's no configuration for qspi. But in MCAL, I can't make them empty nor delete it.

the configuration that I want to delete is on Picture below.

Is it okay to leave configuration about QSPI for the driver that was inteded to use in MIBSPI?

Let me discuss with the team once regarding the AWR1843 AOP MCAL support, will get back to you by early next week.

There are not many adjustments needed for the AOP, only the port configuration file will be affected.

I'm using MCAL which version is 4.2.1. Also, I'm using AUTOSAR which version is 4.0.3.

In addition, I wonder if I can get any configuration guide for MCAL or technical reference? In the files that I got from Arrow, where Mr. Jack is involved, I can't find any kind of configuration guides. So, I can just guess what they are meaning, not feel sure on it.

Please send me MCAL guide or any document that could be help me to set configuration.

Arrow did not deliver any kind of AutoSAR package. Instead we’re just looking into this topic which needs to be clarified.

i am also worrying about AutoSAR OS is able to access all the necessary Radar Subsystem. 

Please check if any of customer have been successful at this topic earlier?

I can't share you AUTOSAR package because of contract that we did with vector, and internal issues.

Vector did make me an example project which is for MSS with comunication function and NM function. The example is made with MCAL which was delivered by TI.(Package is for other customer, so we can't share MCAL from vector).

Further, there is guide to apply MCAL into AUTOSAR that Vector sent me, which I followed to try integration of both MCAL and AUTOSAR.

Currently, Arrow Sales/FAE visited them last week for a meeting and recommended that AUTOSAR and MCAL be used in matching versions,
They only said that they received and are using version 4.0.3 from Vector to see if there are any restrictions on using the tool.

They are not sharing with us why they can't use the AUTOSAR OS that matches the MCAL package version, but they are asking us to release the MCAL package for AUTOSAR OS 4.0.3 again.

Could you please release the MCAL package additionally to fit the AUTOSAR 4.0.3 version? If it's a reasonable request, please help. They don't have the previous case for Radar DSP - AutoSAR/MCAL support, so we need active help.

And they say that it is difficult to proceed because the configuration information is not included in the configuration of the AUTOSAR platform.
Is there anything else that the Detailed Configuration Guide can share? We have all the documents included in the package such as MCAL & MCAL Config.
