MMWCAS-DSP-EVM: Is there any organized quick start document?

We are attempting to operate with a combination of MMWCAS-DSP-EVM and MMWCAS-RF-RF.

You can proceed in order by looking at the User's Guide for mmWaveStudio 3.1.1, but there are many difficulties.

I installed it following the steps below.

1. Install mmWaveStudio from the installer package

2. Install 32-bit Matlab Runtime Engine (Version 8.5.1)

3. Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable package

Installation did not proceed even though the FTDI driver was already installed.

The program was executed according to the procedure below.

1. Power up the EVM.

2. To start GUI(mmWaveStudio).

No error message was output and a GUI window appeared.

However, the device was not recognized, so I checked the COM ports and found that only 2 were recognized, not 4 like in the manual.

The picture above is the device manager shown in the user guide.

This is the COM port recognized by my PC.

I'm blocked from here and can't proceed any further.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver numerous times.

I need some advice.

In the meantime, I kept trying with the wrong documents.

The revision of the TDA2 Cascade Radar Host Board in the document you provided is E4 or later.

The version written on the board I have is PROC055 B 001. Do I have a lower version?

- Connect the USB cable and check that the two COM ports are recognized.

- Change my PC's IP and subnet mask to 192.168.33.30, 255.255.255.0

- TDA firmware flashing completed using Etcher on SD card.

- Power up the 12V Supply.

- Connect the first COM port of the two COM ports with Putty (115200,8,N,1,N)

I couldn't see the log, so I pressed the S1 switch as instructed.

However, no message is displayed in Putty.

Current consumption is 670mA@12V

It doesn't seem to be booting. So, is there a problem with the TDA2 firmware flash on the SD card?

It's the same network, but the Ethernet link and act are quiet..

There have been no problems with other LINUX-based boards so far.

File location and file name.

I want to see it boot up. Please help me.

Hello.

I am proceeding in order by looking at the document you mentioned.

However, I cannot proceed to the next step because Putty’s COM port communication does not work.

The FTDI_TX LED on the PCB turns on and then turns off after a while, but the message coming through the COM port cannot be confirmed.

Hello,

Do you have the FTDI drivers installed on your PC? Can you please share a screenshot of the FTDI ports in your device manager and also share a screenshot of the exact error you are seeing? Also please confirm you are correctly setting the buad rate and other required serial port settings.
