Hello,

I have some questions about the schematics of AWR1843AOPEVM (PROC106B).

1) SOP2 pin(V10) of AWR1843AOP is connected to the slide switch and the voltage divider circuit on AWR1843AOPEVM.

Why are the rare resistance values used for the resistors of the voltage divider circuit?

2) I would like to be able to switch AWR1843AOP into flush mode (write mode?)using SOP2 pin.

In this case, should I just pull up only SOP2 pin of AWR1843AOP?

I read AWR1843AOPEVM User’s Guide and AWR1843AOP's datasheet but I can't understand.

Please advise.

For flashing mode:

S1.3 = OFF

S1.4 = OFF

S3 = ONN

I have already read the User's guide and I know Table 2-9.

What I want to know is,

why the voltage divider circuit is used in SOP2 pin on the schematics of AWR1843AOPEVM (PROC106B),

and why the rare resistance values are used for the resistors of the voltage divider circuit.

If we want to pull up to SOP2 pin, usually we don't use a voltage divider circuit.

Please advise.

Hello,

These dividers are not needed in a production system, you can just use a single 10k pullup or pulldown to GND. These are just added so that the switch will take precedence over the pulldown, so when the switch is open it will be pulled to GND but once the switch is closed it will bring the voltage high enough to cross over the VIH spec.
