If I buy the awr1843aop chip (not the evm) can I access the data at an earlier point with the SDK?

Specifically, in this block diagram would I be able to tap in and access the data at the ADC Buffer. Or where is the earliest place I could access the data?

Also, where is the best place to learn the process of getting the chip working real time? I am confident and comfortable using the evm but was curious where the best place to learn how to set up the chip is.

Thanks for the post and welcome to E2E! Here the 2-lane LVDS interface would be from where the raw ADC data would be available with this device.

Hi Josh,

Thank you for the response! After reading into this, it seems like the raw ADC data can only be accessed after it is collected in all of these scenarios. I have the awr1843aop and the DCA1000. I have collected raw data and built a DSP algorithm from the different data collects.

What I want to do now is figure out how to implement the DSP algorithm I have built in real time (collect and run the algo simultaneously). It does not seem like any of this documentation helps in respect to that though. Is there a way to embed on the chip and do this?

Josh,

Great, that is super helpful! I understand now. I have one more question if you don't mind:

After reviewing everything, I came across the awr1243 with this functional block diagram:

to me, it looks like this radar board just offboards raw adc data? Is that the case? If so, this appears to be the best solution because I could just take the data straight off of this board and use it. If I am missing something please let me know.

In both cases raw ADC data is presented - with first IC, over LVDS, second IC, over CSI2.
